The U.S. Open Tennis Championship is the fourth and final event of the Grand Slam tennis tournaments following the Australian Open, the French Open, and Wimbledon. The US Open 2009 will take place August 31st through September 13th at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York City.

The reigning 2008 US Open Tennis champions are Roger Federer for men's singles, Serena Williams for women's singles, Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan for men's doubles, Cara Black and Liezel Huber for women's doubles, and Cara Black and Leander Paes for mixed doubles.
