DTM – the three magic letters once stood for “Deutsche Tourenwagen-Meisterschaft“ (German Touring Car Championship). Today they are the trademark of the most popular international touring car racing series, which began in the 1984 season with production-based cars and culminated in a worldwide series for high-tech touring cars.

The list of automobile manufacturers who have been involved in the DTM is a long one. The list of stars who shaped the series is even longer. Ellen Lohr, Hans-Joachim Stuck, Klaus Ludwig, Keke Rosberg, Jean Alesi, Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Mika Häkkinen are among them. They all have remained fans of the DTM even though they are no longer actively involved and will always be part of DTM history.
