Criminal Minds is a show that airs on CBS. It is an hour long show starring
Joe Mantegna as David Rossi,
Thomas Gibson as Aaron Hotchner,
Paget Brewster as Emily Prentiss,
Shemar Moore as Derek Morgan,
Matthew Gray Gubler as Dr. Spencer Ried,
A.J. Cook as J.J., and
Kirsten Vangsness as Penelope Garcia.
Criminal Minds usually starts out with a gruesome crime being committed, and then the cast, who play FBI Profilers and work in the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU), use their unique skills to figure out who has committed these crimes and is usually still in the act of committing them. The Criminal Minds profilers work to figure out the mind of the criminal, referred to on the show as the unsub (unknown subject), what he/she may be thinking, what type of victim he/she is seeking, who may be the next victim, and what the criminal most likely looks like, what his/her life and work are like, and why and how he/she is choosing his/her victims. The show is very suspenseful and is usually quite graphic. The crimes are usually extraordinary and the unsub very sick and demented.
Criminal Minds is not for those with queasy stomachs or for children, but is very interesting to watch as you observe the cast, each with their own area of expertise and each with their own personality, working hard to profile the unsub and catch him/her, hopefully before he/she kills another victim.
