Dynasty is the story of a wealthy oil family living in Denver headed by patriarch Blake Carrington, played by John Forsyth, and his wife Krystle, played by the gorgeous Linda Evans. However it is his ex-wife, Alexis Carrington Colby played by Joan Collins who really steals the show. Also involved are Blake’s children: Adam (Gordon Thomson) who was kidnapped as a child, Fallon (Pamela Sue Martin) the spoiled one, Steven (Al Corley) who is openly gay, and Amanda (Karen Cellini) who was hidden from her father at birth. Most of the episodes revolve around the war between Blake’s Denver Carrington corporation and Alexis’ ColbyCo corporaton.

Dynasty began on January 12, 1981 and the spicy drama ran for 9 full seasons and was known more for its emotional displays of greed, seduction, power, betrayal, vanity and revenge for any real storyline and fans loved the show for it. It was one of the many greats to come from Aaron Spelling Productions.
