Life Unexpected ran on the American network The CW from January 2010 until its cancelation in December of the same year.
Life Unexpected stared Britt Robertson playing
Lux Cassidy who was a foster child during her life. When she turned 16 she decided that she wanted to become an adult and went on to find her parents to sign the necessary paperwork. Once she finds her parents who are not still together she finds out that she was listening to her mother Care Cassidy played by
Shiri Appleby on the radio each morning on her show “Morning Madness”. Her father Nathaniel “Base” Bazile is the owner of Open Bar.
Lux quickly bonds with her dad but the relationship takes more time with her mother and her fiancé. Lux ends up living with her mother after the judge denies her paperwork to become an adult.
During the show we also meet Lux’s friends Tasha her best friend played by
Ksenia Solo along with her boyfriend Bug played by
Rafi Gavron.
Warner Brothers quickly after the shows cancelation announced that they would release the shows two complete seasons (26 episodes) on DVD. Life Unexpected was created by Liz Tigelaar and was produced in Vancouver, British Colombia.
