The story follows a family move to Lincoln Heights where Eddie, the father, husband and officer, his wife Jenn, and two daughters Cassie and Lizzie, along with son Taylor, try a new life. The family supports the move the best they can knowing Eddie wants to make a difference in his old neighborhood, but their support does not come without obstacles. Settling into a new home is not the problem, but fitting in is a completely different story. As the series progresses, the family continually experiences a great deal of real-life barriers which only make them stronger.

Overcoming race riots that quickly turn to violence on the streets, relationship issues, characters becoming consumed with jealousy, Lincoln Heights has it all. Taylor, better known as “Tay”, pursues his career in The Music industry only to find himself in trouble, crowns are presented for kings and queens of the prom, all during earthquakes, filming of sexual activity at school, and friends being killed by hit and run drivers, proving there is never a dull moment in Lincoln Heights.

Every viewer can relate to a character, making the popularity of the show an undeniable hit. Eddie, a good man, refuses to give up. His wife, despite her opinions of the new life stands by her husband as a rock of support.
