Monk features the amazing and quirky police talents of detective Adrian Monk, an eccentric individual with a nose for solving crimes. After the murder of his wife, Monk suffered a breakdown making him extremely obsessive compulsive and caused him to lose his regular position on the force. This doesn't stop him in his quest to keep the world spotless and stop crime, as he and his assistant/nurse work on a consultant basis with the department on hard to solve crimes. As he works, Monk shows off his Zen ability to see minute details in places others miss, and keeps the viewer rolling as his OCD nature often gets in The Way of his work.

Having been on the air for several seasons, this show has been immensely popular due to the strong plot, acting talent of the cast, and hilarious comedy that makes it a charming show. The mysteries themselves always have a twist that keeps you off balance and guessing who might be guilty as Monk leads The Way to the solution.
