Supernatural features the exploits of two demon/monster killer brothers Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) that are trained by their father.

Each episode of Supernatural follows Dean and Sam as they travel through small towns in America battling urban legends. Kripke, happens to be a fan of American urban legends and mythology. The character Dean was patterned after the swagger of Harrison Ford. In fact, the original last name of the brothers was to be Harrison in honor of the famed actor. The name was changed to Winchester at the last minute because a Sam Harrison actually lives in Kansas where the two fictional brothers of Supernatural hail from. The producers of Supernatural do all the filming in Vancouver, Canada. The show has run for seven seasons and has a huge fan base.
