Outer Limits originally aired on television from 1963-1965 on ABC. It had a comeback from 1995-2002 which was carried on USA. Outer Limits had an eerie and creepy element to it. It was a science fiction type show with each episode typically containing some type of monster(s), creature, human mutation, space invasion, or whatever the writers could come up with to create fantasy and suspense. Each episode started out with and ended with a narration. At the beginning of each episode the television would seem to almost turn off and a voice would tell you, "There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not to attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling the transmission....." The tone of voice of the narrator warned you that you were about to enter dangerous and unknown territory. There was a lot of time travel in Outer Limits, usually to a future of invasion and desolation.
Even though the material was somewhat scary and deranged, Outer Limits was fun and interesting to watch, and kept you on The Edge of your seat.
