Champney Falls is one of my favorite places to go as I explore and find adventure in New Hampshire. Located off the Kancamagus Highway (RT 112) in Albany, NH, the falls drop about thirty five feet in a narrow canyon. When I was younger, I climbed these granite walls. The cascade is about one hundred yards from the Champney Brook Trail on the way up to the summit of Mount Chocorua. I shot this video with the Sony HDR-Z1U HDV camcorder in 1080i 60i and used a Vinten Vision 3 Tripod. I edited the project with Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 in High Definition. It was compressed in Windows Media 720p 24p HD for viewing on this site. Vimeo then compresses it to Flash HD. I am aware of the jitter and hitching. I will try different encode settings on other videos. Lip sync is fixed. I shot this video the day after I closed on my land purchase in the mountains not far from these falls. This was my way of "celebrating". I hope you enjoy it.
