I noticed 'fireworks mode' on the hv20 lets in the most light by default at 1.8 1/48... I don't know if it has gain, but there seems to be a strobing effect (thus, perfect for fireworks I suppose)... The ghosting is a little disappointing, like when you see analog tv on an lcd screen, but I'm still testing.
