The Maiden Minnesota 2009 event is a celebration of Minnesota-based, women-owned companies, many of which have been recognized as leaders in creative design. The fun, socializing and charitable shopping event will feature goods and services by leading women-owned businesses, as well as help support and raise awareness for Free Arts Minnesota, which helps nurture the next generation of leaders, creatives and business owners through arts programming and mentorship. This morning Andrea Satter from Free Arts Minnesota and Tracy Dyer from Urban Junket gave us a preview. More than 30 companies are expected to participate in 2009. The companies will offer exclusive sales, as well as donate product towards a silent auction to benefit Free Arts Minnesota.
