Layoff's at GSK
GlaxoSmithKline a British drug making company laid off 22 chemists in an attempt to save billions on annual costs last week. GSKâs spokeswoman Melinda Stubbee confirmed the layoffs yesterday. Most of the positions that were eliminated were part of group designed to come up with a new cancer fighting drug. They announced their plan to save 1.4 billion in their 4th quarter last year. Several layoffs have taken place at the Research Triangle Park Labs since the announcement of the 3-year restructuring plan.
