Start with sectioning the layered haircut and work on the back section first, overdirect and bring everything back towards you. Cut straight across at the bottom to remove length, then use point cutting to achieve the long layered hairstyle as it adds texture and reduces weight. Hair Cutting Tip: Be sure to establish overall length *BEFORE* beginning layering process, by removing length at the sides as well as the very bottom. Once you get the hair to the length that you want it to be, you can start creating your layers.
