This is a very, very, rough and ready test of a modified LETUS35 FLIP for XL for the academic interest of groundglass based image relay home builders. The unit has been modified with fitment of a heavier motor and eccentric plus some static countermass outboard of the motor position on the GG carrier. The GG excursion was increased to about 1.5mm but remained elliptoid. At the end of the clip is a Lemac chart which demonstrated horizontal resolution of this particular LETUS35 to be at or better than 608 lines. This clip and comments should be regarded neither as qualified critique nor endorsement of the LETUS35 product as the specimen tested is no longer mechanically representative of the standard product. The resolving ability of the groundglass and optics remains unaltered so can be regarded as representative in terms of image sharpness.
