This is a simple test to compare the Rode VideoMic VS. the Canon HV30 onboard microphone. The Rode mic has a very good sound while the HV30 sounds like it was recorded from a tin can. I do have to admit that the onboard microphone sounds great, but doing a comparison side by side shows it's true colors. I bought this microphone because the 48 Hour Film Project is coming to Cincinnati this weekend and I have been recruited as the Videographer/Editor and Tori will make her acting debut. TV Mode: 30 Color: Vivid (Preset) Exposure: Locked @ 1.8 (no gain) Rode Mic: No lowpass filter on this test. Both tests were with ATT off.
