Walt Morris, then 23, flew 14 missions on a B-24J with the 453rd Bomb Group, 733rd Squadron, 2nd Air Division, 8th Air Force, Army Air Corps, during World War II in 1944 and 1945. The Collings Foundation has restored a number of historic war planes, including a B-24J.
