This is created by loading many 3d objects with Kineme Alpha 9, and manipulating them with the tool- set over the standard gradient patch. Many of these are static objects which have "movement" achieved by using the Kineme Alpha 9 plug in, some of the objects are multi-position types, like the "dragon" which was a free download from Polycount and has been tweaked significantly. All of the 3d models are from Max-realms and Polycount as the starting point. I opened up the models and tweaked them some, then "staged" this setting for experimentation with 3D in Quartz Composer. I didn't use any of the supplied model "skins". Some of the objects have folder images being loaded with shifting core image filter parameters. Others have static images. The grass for example, has both folder images and color transform, while the house has folder images and a bloom patch that is being manipulated with interpolation. The dancing/flying sheets, (which were very Fantasia inspired) were created totally with Kineme Alpha 9 and built in core image patches. No outside objects. Both this, the fish, and the deformed garlic plants (which look like shrubs) are all in replicate patches. The ortho perspective may seem an odd way to go with 3d, but I have been enjoying mixing this with the Alpha 9. It is worth noting that the appearance difference between Ortho and regular perspective is significant. I will most likely post a non ortho version later. There are a tremendous amount of 3d transformations going on to achieve the effect of camera work, and some of the movement of the objects. The actual setting is within 3 or 4 3d transforms, a lighting, another transform, and then the ortho. Some of the objects inside are inside of 3d transformations, such as the car. For example, with things like the fish, there are two macros of this with different settings, and they are both in 3d transformations to offset one from the other. This also makes use of Particle tools for the flying s...
