I was a bit disappointed with the supposedly improved image stabilization from the Sanyo HD1010. I think it actually might be worse, or at least appear more annoying. I found that if you move the camera very slowly, it will be nice and smooth. Smother than the old HD1000 model. If you pan or have just a bit more movement that it can deal with, there are big jerks while it tries to keep up. I am also posting a video shot with a Sony TG1 which appears to have much better stabilization.
