720-24p test with Avid under/over cranking

I'm starting a new project that will require undercranking and overcranking an HVX200 and I needed to see how I should be bringing the footage into an AVID. I tried import (didn't work at all), media tool (wouldn't keep the correct frame rate), and capture tool (worked after I turned off deck control). It's still easier than importing film, but something tells me it could be a lot easier.
