Hill City, Kansas Tornado
May 22, 2007 Chase 1 A tornadic supercell near Hill City, Kansas. A large hail shaft blocked a safer southerly approach, forcing Chase 1 into the bear's cage on the north side of the storm. As they emerged from the hail shaft, a large funnel formed. This storm was the subject of a very large chaser convergence, including the TIV of Discovery Channel fame (referred to as "the tank" in this video). http://www.stormnet.org
