Marti Perkins, the star of CW's Hellcats, is a young, edgy law student from Memphis, TN, and not exactly the cheerleader type. Sure, she's blonde, athletic, and beautiful, but team spirit has never been her strong suit. But when Marti (played by Aly Michalka, "Easy A," "The Roommate") discovers that her scholarship has been cancelled, she has no choice but to suck it up and try out for the squad. With the help of her perky new roommate, Savannah Monroe (fellow Hellcats cast member Ashley Tisdale of "High School Musical" fame), Marti learns to maneuver through the pleasures and pitfalls of the world of competitive cheerleading, all the while feuding with team vixen Alice (Heather Hemmens) and flirting with handsome architecture student Lewis (Robbie Jones). Luckily, her long-time friend and fellow Memphis townie, Dan Patch (Matt Barr, "Harper's Island"), is there to help keep her grounded. An addictive mix action, drama, humor and heartbreak, Hellcats makes for one hell of a good time!
