Hung is a popular new half-hour show on HBO. The comedy debuted in 2009 and was renewed for a third season in 2011. Hung centers around Thomas Jane's character "Ray" who after a divorce and a series of unfortunate circumstances finds himself in debt and without a home. Down to his last dollar Ray decides to put to use a certain piece of male anatomy that sets him apart from the rest. Jane is best known for his roles in action movies such as "The Punisher" as well as romantic comedies like "The Sweetest Thing".
Hung is set in a Detroit suburb where Ray is a high school teacher and baseball coach. His twins, played by
Charlie Saxton and
Sianoa Smit-McPhee, both attend the school where he teaches. His ex-wife is played by
Anne Heche who has remarried Eddie Jemison's character, a successful dermatologist. The show follows Ray as he attempts to earn money as a male prostitute all the while fixing his house and home life. Each season of Hung has been ten episodes long and has run alongside other HBO hit summer shows on Sunday nights.
