My Boys is a smart comedy, based on the first person perspective of a Chicago female sports writer and her friendships with her group of sports loving and drinking
Buddy Guy friends and one "girly-girl" friend. Our main character P.J. is a the classic tom-boy who just wants to find the right guy, but because of her awkward inability to be feminine and attract the kind of man that won't treat her like "one of the guys", she finds herself trolling the Chicago dating scene and ending up in a series of comedic mishaps that make the show quite the half hour laugh fest on TBS's Tuesday night comedy line up. Between her madcap group of guy friends and her older brother, poor P.J. is constantly surrounded by men, other than her one girlfriend who has a personality that is quite opposing her own. Though her overtly feminine best friend tries to no avail to convert P.J. into a pink wearing, anti-sports "chick", the element of conflict within P.J. shines through, as we see her ultimate desire to be treated more like a "girl".
This light comedy is a great laugh for more than just singles in their twenties, as the script is laugh out loud funny and has a little bit of something for everyone. It's great to see Chicago as the set of such a whimsical show. You'll be hooked as you find yourself following P.J.'s romantic drama and laugh with her "boys", as you enjoy My Boys.
