The Chicago Code is a TV series on the FOX Broadcasting Company network. The Chicago Code is a police drama that follows some of Chicago's hardworking cops. The cops in the show are trying to fight crime and expose the corruption that is among the city. Most of this corruption is done through the political parties. It was created by Shawn Ryan. He also created the show The Shield.

The Chicago Code is based on two main characters: Jarek Wysocki and Teresa Colvin. Jarek Wysocki is played by Jason Clarke and Teresa Colvin is played by Jennifer Beals. Jarek Wysocki is a veteran of the Chicago police department. Teresa Colvin is Jarek's ex-partner and the city's first female superintendent. Jarek is now seeking revenge of the murderers that killed his brother. His brother was killed in the line of duty. So Jarek was left to take care of his niece, Vonda. Vonda is played by Devin Kelley.

Other characters in the show include Alderman Ronin Gibbons and Caleb Evers. Alderman Ronin Gibbons is played by Delroy Lindo. Caleb Evers is played by Matt Lauria. Alderman Ronin Gibbons is the politician that thinks he can rule over the police department. Caleb Evers is Jarek's partner.
