When the Real Housewives series of reality television shows debuted, it was instantly a success. The Real Housewives of Miami isn’t any different and hit the scenes in February 2011, starring six of Miami’s most influential women.
So who are these “influential women” of Miami?
Larsa Pippen, wife of NBA star
Scottie Pippen and mother of four, unabashedly claims to be successful at everything she does;
Marysol Patton, a divorcee of ten years who successfully runs her own public relations firm who, in her spare time, enjoys spending time with her mother;
Alexia Echevarria, the executive editor of Venue magazine who spends a lot of her time at her and her husband’s Miami beach house with her two sons;
Lea Black, a Texas native, is married to her criminal defense attorney hubby, Roy Black, but now lives in Miami with him and their nine year old son;
Cristy Rice, former wife of NBA star
Glen Rice, a Miami native who runs her own clothing store while raising three children. And last, but not least, there’s
Adriana DeMoura-Sidi, a sassy Brazilian, who rounds off the cast as an engaged, yet single, mother and art curator.
When all of these personalities combine, The Real Housewives of Miami brought with it all the drama and conflict one could hope for. However, despite having all of the qualities one would expect from a season of Housewives, its ratings were less than spectacular, the debut drawing only a portion of the views of its predecessors.
