The Sopranos is everything the mob stands for and then some. This show is packed with a little of everything. Drama, excitement, murder, mayhem and even a little bit of a soft side.
The Sopranos has so many layers to it. Tony Soprano the main character played by
James Gandolfini is one interesting guy. He has more layers than an onion. Everything is centered around Tony. He is a family man. He has two families, his wife and two kids and the mob. They are equally important to him.
Tony's wife, Carmela, played brilliantly by
Edie Falco and kids Meadow and A.J. are his world. He does family things, Dad things. He can be a softy. Paulie, Christopher, Silvio and Bobby are a few members of his mob family. He would do anything for them. However, they do him wrong and they pay. He has a conscience and he has morals. Tony does not always use them wisely.
Taking place in Jersey is no surprise. The main hang out is a cover strip club called Bada Bing. This is where important business goes down. Another major place of business is a pork store called Satriale's. This is almost neutral territory where Tony and his co-horts can meet with the New York mob and others.
The Sopranos run was worth it. Watch every episode and watch the story unfold.
